About us
We develop and sustain partnerships with a wide range of community
providers in education, work, the arts and leisure. Collaborative working
allows us to develop new initiatives.
See our Opportunities pages for more information.

When we talk about social inclusion what do we really mean?
The right for individuals accessing mental health services to be treated the same, and offered the same opportunities,
as any other citizen.
"Our communities' long-term health depends on the strengths of their social networks, family structures and economic
self-sufficiency".
Edgar Cahn, founder of the Time Bank movement
What we do
We are developing a community-based resource known as the Cambridge Resource Centre. Many of our partners use the
resource to run their courses. See our Opportunities pages for more information.
We run a friendly Internet Café and information resource. The Café serves affordable freshly prepared food.
All welcome. Free internet access.
There is a staffed information resource area in the Café where you can find out about a wide range of
community events, courses, opportunities and activities. We have rooms that are available to book,
and the Centre also acts as a base for some of our partner organisations' work.
Working with individuals
We work with individuals recovering from mental health problems to identify the
changes they want to make in their lives and offer support to help make it happen.
- We value the whole person, not just the diagnosis.
- We can support you to develop and/or maintain your own social networks.
- We help you identify and accomplish goals in a planned, focussed and time-limited way.
- We support ease of re-referral should new goals be identified that require our support.
If you think you could benefit from working with us, ask your worker from Community Mental Health Team, In-Patient or
Out-Patient Service to fill out a referral form with you.
Where we are
We are based at 47-51 Norfolk Street, Cambridge.
We are funded by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust.
